Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon

Dr. Birnbaum is one of the original members of our group. He has been in practice with Dr. Gelfman (ret. feb ’12) since 1981. Dr. Birnbaum is a graduate of Queens College and NYU College of Dentistry. He also completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) at Flushing Hospital. Dr. Birnbaum completed his surgical training at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center; a level 1 hospital trauma center. Dr. Birnbaum excells in all aspects of dento-alveolar surgery with emphasis on endodontic surgery (apicoectomy) and intravenous moderate sedation. Dr. Birnbaum is a diplomate of American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon

Dr. Johnson joined the practice in 1995 upon completion of his surgical residency training at Bellvue Hospital. He graduated cum laude from Virginia Tech University, where he was a star decathlete. He then went on to NYU College of Dentistry where, in addition to studying dentistry, he performed biomolecular research. In his residency, Dr. Johnson, performed full scope of procedures including orthognathic surgery, pathology, TMJ and reconstruction. Dr. Johnson also participated on cleft lip and palate teams in Mexico, where he had a chance to work with some of the best pediatric facial reconstructive surgeons in the world. He practices full scope office-based oral surgery with emphasis on pathology, reconstruction of jaws and dental implant surgery.

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon

Dr. Manzon joined the group in 2010 after completion of a 4 year active duty tour with the US Navy. He graduated cum laude from University of Pennsylvania and received his dental degree from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He completed his surgical training at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center. Dr. Manzon’s training was heavily accented on facial trauma, pathology, reconstruction, orthognathics and TMJ surgery. Dr. Manzon practices full scope of office-based and hospital-based oral surgery. He holds privileges in two major metropolitan hospitals which allows our group to treat patients who require higher level of care to meet their oral surgery needs. Dr. Manzon has substantial training in bone regeneration and dental implant surgery. Dr. Manzon is a diplomate of American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College.

Dr. Feygin grew up in Brooklyn, NY. He then went on to attend Rutgers University- New Brunswick where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Cell Biology and Neuroscience. After college he completed graduate school at Boston University Dental Medicine. Subsequently, he returned to the NY area for his General Practice and Oral Maxillofacial Surgical training though Weill-Cornell Medical Center at Lincoln Medical Center. Dr. Feygin practices full scope office and hospital based oral surgery with particular interests in bone grafting, dental implants, corrective jaw surgery, maxillofacial pathology, and trauma.
